Ashley Dokter Crowned Nyama Battle Champion
Karoo chef Ashley Dokter has been crowned the winner of Nyama Battle: The Mother City, brought to you by Boxer.
Representing Murraysburg, Ashley impressed throughout the competition with his humility, determination and modern approach to traditional South African flavours. Inspired by his family and Karoo upbringing, he consistently delivered dishes that celebrated his heritage while showcasing his growth as a chef.
As the winner, Ashley receives a fully equipped food trailer, R200,000 towards his food truck business and R100,000 in Boxer Rewards. The prizes will help him transform 15 years of hard work into the next chapter of his culinary career.
